Belduque Knife With Rambutan Handle And Beaded Beaded Sheath
Product Details
This belduque knife was inspired by the ones carried by the vaqueros of Mexico and South America.  It was both an everyday utility knife for those men on horse back, and a potent self defense weapon in a duel. It is believed to be the design inspiration and forefather of the Bowie knife.

This beautiful family heirloom was made by Jason Hawk years ago. This knife was forged from a horse drawn buggy spring that he found in an old barn.  It is marked with his JH stamp and handled  with rambutan wood which is prized for its extreme density and striking visual grain. The handle is pinned with brass, aluminum, And bamboo pins.

Mary Fricchione made and beaded the Mexican loop style sheath with antique French and German beads.
