Jason Hawk Buschcraft Knife
This knife was hand-forged by my dad, Jason Hawk, shortly before the filming of his first television series, No Man’s Land. The blade is featured in the first episode of the show, where my Dad and grandpa Jim Hawk showcase the piece as a collaboration. Grandpa Jim made the wooden sheath and accompanying hand-carved skull centerpiece.
Made during Dad’s early shop days, when he had limited equipment and relied heavily on hand tools, the knife has a rugged, hand-worked finish. Its broad tip and slight convex edge were designed for durability and general field use. The knife is also unmarked, dating to a time when he had temporarily lost his maker’s mark.
This is a three-generation Hawk family piece. My dad made the knife, my Grandpa Jim carved the wooden sheath and skull ornament, and I recently cleaned and refreshed it, bringing some life back while preserving its original character.

A Note from Kamui
From time to time, I offer select pieces from my personal collection that I no longer use or display as often. I have plenty of my dad’s work that I’ll always keep for personal and sentimental reasons, but I’d rather pass certain pieces along to someone who will appreciate them and put them to use.
